How to make cutlets crispy and delicious
Who doesn’t! Cutlets are a delicious, versatile dish that can be served as a snack or a main meal. They make a great party appetizer and are popular among children. Whether you like to eat your cutlets fried or baked, here’s an easy recipe to follow:
Ingredients:
- Potatoes (3-4 large potatoes)
- 1 cup of finely chopped onions
- 2 tsp of cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of boiled green peas
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 cups of bread crumbs
- 2 tbsps of oil for frying/baking
Step 1: Gather your ingredients. For cutlets, you will need cooked and mashed potatoes, grated onion, chopped herbs such as parsley and cilantro, an egg (optional), and bread crumbs or other filler of your choice. You can also add shredded cheese if desired.
Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, grated onion, herbs, egg (if using), and any additional ingredients that you’d like. Mix it until all the ingredients are well-combined.
Step 3: Shape the mixture into flat patties or oval-shaped cutlets using your hands or with a spoon or ice cream scoop. Dip each patty into the bread crumbs to coat them on both sides.
Step 4: Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the cutlets onto the pan and fry them until golden brown on both sides (about 5 minutes per side). Serve immediately while still warm with some chutney or ketchup! Enjoy!
